Hello, How Are You?

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Bahruz Mammadov, and this is my first post. I will keep it short: why I made this website, a little about me, and what you can expect to find here.

Why this blog

I have tried writing on Medium and LinkedIn. They are useful, but I wanted a place that feels more personal, where I can choose the design and decide how it grows. This website is also a way to learn by building something that belongs to me.

Writing also helps me think. Understanding an idea in my own mind is one thing, but explaining it clearly to someone else is harder. When I write, I find out what I know and what I still need to learn.

About me

I am a junior software engineer and a frontend-focused full-stack developer. I started web development at Div Academy in 2023, where I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After that I moved on to React and Next.js, and I built a number of small projects such as landing pages, a weather app, and a notes app.

Right now I study Computer Software Systems at Ismayilli State College of Technology and Humanities, and my main focus is Java and backend development. I am learning object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, databases, REST APIs, Git, and Spring Boot. Sometimes I solve LeetCode problems for practice.

What I enjoy most is taking an idea, breaking it into smaller problems, and turning it into a working application. My long-term goal is to become a strong software engineer who can build reliable and maintainable systems. Outside of code, I am also interested in design, philosophy, and branding.

I do not want to present myself as an expert. I want to share what I actually learn, along with my questions, honestly.

What to expect

Most posts will be about programming, with notes and tutorials. But not only that. I am also interested in the history of computers, software engineering, open source, society, culture, and books. Some posts will be practical, others will be questions or ideas. I would rather let this blog grow naturally than limit it to one topic.

Stay in touch

Thank you for reading. This is only the beginning, and I look forward to seeing what it becomes.
